Hi everyone! On April 29th Pearl was diagnosed with IMHA, Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. It’s a disease that’s found where the body thinks the red blood cells are attacking it’s system and starts to destroy them. Pearl has now done 3 blood transfusions and is currently on 6 medications. Unfortunately, 3 days after her first and second transfusion her body has relapsed. This is not easy for her, nor our family. She is our little baby and we hate seeing her down. She is such a happy and playful dog with the most fierce personality. Anyone who has met her can honestly say what an amazing dog she is. This condition has changed her personality, as much as she tries to fight through and play, she rather just lay down and sleep. My family and I are asking for any contributions to Pearl’s treatments and medication. Anything is greatly appreciated. We want to see our baby happy and healthy again.
