Hello friends! I'm starting this GoFundMe for everyone's favorite legume, Peanut! She explains more of the details and her feelings about her heart surgery below better than I could, but I wanted to raise some funds because our healthcare system is a whole big mess and she shouldn't have to stress about medical bills during an already stressful time. Anyone who knows Peanut knows that she truly has one of the biggest hearts of anyone you'll ever meet. Let's try to show her even a fraction of the love and support she shows us on a regular basis!

Hi friends - Last week I found out that in the very near future I will be having open heart surgery to remove what I’m lovingly calling my spaghetti heart.
Essentially, there is extra tissue in my heart that should not be there. And it could cause some pretty not so fun things if left alone. So out it must come!
I admit, I am somewhat terrified of the whole idea.
BUT - also, I feel incredibly good about everything that lies ahead. And would rather this whole thing be positive as hell, so I’ve compiled a list of why in the end, it won’t be so bad after all.
1.) Because all in all. I’m extremely lucky, they found it - (by total accident I might add) before anything really bad could happen!
2.) now when you send me this emoji you’re blowing extra hearts my way - and much like Mario I plan to hoard them all and live forever
3.) In every other way, they tell me I’m incredibly healthy and have every chance of a smooth surgery and speedy recovery
4.) I get a super bad ass scar out of the deal
5.) I will finally have the time while I recover to watch everything in my Netflix queue
6.) I have tangible proof that I have a tiny little bit more heart than the average person
7.) I love making lists
8.) I am surrounded by the most wonderful people - Even though the number of people who know about this is small, I have already been completely overwhelmed with their support. (Huge shout out to @krell_fish for wiping away my tears and helping me laugh through this.)
9.) It has made me appreciate many of the things around me in a new and brighter light
10.) Because being positive is powerful and right now I’m all about it sooo - #POSOFUCKINGTIVITY
Sorry for the long post. But I needed to get that off my chest. And for those of you who may have thought that the video was the ultrasound of a baby. My bad!
The point is, I love you, I’m grateful to have you in my life and extremely thankful for the life I have. If you have any spare good vibes to send my way I would greatly appreciate it.
Life throws curve balls, some of which knock us on our asses. But I know, it’s just a matter of time until I dust of an get back in the game. Thanks for reading,
-P
