Hello!
We are Peak Vets, a Veterinary Practice in Sheffield. We do many different fundraising activities throughout the year including bake sales, walking 100 miles in a month and completing charity runs. In 2026 we have decided to undertake our biggest challenge yet- the Yorkshire 3 Peaks!
We are doing this to raise money for Bawtry RSPCA- a charity we work very closely with. The Bawtry branch of RSPCA are self-funded, meaning they don't get any money from the national branch of the charity, they rely solely on donations to the branch itself. They do incredible work, finding hundreds of animals a year new homes, caring for abused and neglected animals and spaying/castrating and vaccinating animals in their care. All of this takes a lot of time, energy and money- RSPCA more than ever are struggling to cope with the amount of animals and owners needing their help.
At Peak Vets we do RSPCA Bawtrys' surgeries for them (Neutering, dentals etc..). We also care for the many neglected, stray and abused cases that sadly come our way. Giving these animals their initial medical care and often a lot of TLC is an emotional but very rewarding job for us- we love seeing animals come through the other side and go to new loving homes. This is why we want to encourage donations for this brilliant charity- the South Yorkshire staff in RSPCA are such a wonderful bunch and we need to help them to keep doing such a fabulous job.
Therefore in May 2026 we will be completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge the Peaks included are: Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough, and Whernside. We have to complete this 24 mile walk within 12 hours! Our group consists of a wide variety of fitness levels so follow along for our training posts as we approach the big day!
