This is Peaches. She is a 2.5 year old French Bulldog.
As most of you know, this dog is my whole world. She has gotten me through some of the darkest times and been by my side through my best times! She is the most loving, pure, beautiful free spirit I have ever seen. She brings smiles to anyone around her and is genuinely the sweetest girl. She is my best friend.
Back in December of 2023 she had a hip displaced (which we originally thought might have happened when she was a little puppy because she’s always walked a little funny). She got the expensive surgery done that was recommended. Since that surgery she has always struggled with her back legs. It healed correctly but she always walked weird or used it incorrectly which I believe put more strain on her other back leg.
Peaches is now needing the same surgery done on her other leg. The surgery is called Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) which involves removing the ball of the hip joint that is detached, putting everything back in to place and letting her body create a “false” joint so she can have most all movement back in her leg. She is in severe pain. I’m not currently in a position to be able to afford the surgery, but I can’t stand seeing her beautiful little spirit crushed.
I NEVER ask for help, but I’m hoping maybe I can get a little this time. I have really been struggling the past 2 years financially and all I want in the world right now is for her to feel better.
Every little bit helps! Even if it is a share. I appreciate you all. ❤️
