One thing I’ve never done is gone to the internet to help me with anything, especially money, but if you know how much I love my dogs, just know I learned it from my mother.

Peaches, who is Romeo’s sister, got an infection and sadly caused pyometra. which was killing her, and without this surgery, she would’ve died. There were no warning signs. She was as healthy as could be and full of life—even this morning, she was eating her favorite treats with all of our dogs, happy as could be (barky and weird), but that’s what makes her special.

She is currently at Cornell getting the best possible care, and we are praying for a full recovery. But sadly, this surgery is extremely expensive. We’ve already put down $5k out of the over $10k it’ll cost to fix her.

Peaches is such a light in my mother’s life; she is part of the reason I still have my mother here today. She’s saved her more times than I can count, and now we have to save her.

At this point in time, I’m trying to help take the burden off of her shoulders as much as possible. I’ve done many favors for so many people without asking for a dime, without questions, without judgment. But my mother needs help.

I’m praying that the community I’ve raised around me is willing to share or help donate. I know times are tough for everyone.

And to some, saving this dog might not seem worth it, but she’s someone I love dearly and someone who gave me back my mother. The least I can do is try and help her through this any way I can.
