Peacefully Lay Lily to Rest
Donation protected
Our mom, Lilia, passed away Wednesday, February 24th, 2021, at 7:45pm just a little over a month shy of her 73rd birthday.
Our mother was a beautiful woman who had a joy and radiance that people around her felt. Her smile was sunshine.
Lily, as most knew her, was the oldest out of 12 children. She came to the United States in the mid-70’s and became a citizen in 1977. Lily was extremely generous, and loved sending Balikbayan boxes to her family still in the Philippines.
When she first came to the United States, she joined bowling leagues as a way to socialize. Our mom was named the “Queen of the Hill” when we lived in Atsugi, Japan.
And she cared deeply for me and my two brothers and those around her. Even through the many hardships she faced in life, she found her smile and her laugh.
This sudden loss of her is so devastating. She went into the hospital January 27 because of covid. What we didn’t know was that she already had GI issues and ulcers. Doctor McKeane said covid and GI issues was the worst combination. Once they performed surgery to address the ulcers, her blood no longer would clot. Our mom had surgery Sunday and passed on Wednesday.
The nurses at Good Sam said she had a strong heart. And it was true of her in all ways of her being.
We are grateful for every dollar that you are able to donate. All donations will go 100% to the cost of her funeral and burial.
