Gathering Place for Rick and his Family

Hi, my name is Patty McNamara. I am starting this Go Fund Me Account for my dear friend Rick Velazquez, who was recently diagnosed with high grade Glioblastoma. Glioblastoma is a fast growing, highly aggressive brain tumor, with an average survival time of 12-18 months. Rick was diagnosed with this horrible disease in August of 2023 and only recently shared this diagnosis with others outside of his immediate family.

Those of us who know Rick, know him as a larger than life man. The life of the party and a very charismatic person. He is kind, funny, loyal and gives his all to his career.

Rick loves spending time with his family and friends. His family is everything to him and he loves them fiercely.

This Go Fund Me Account will be used to help ensure that Rick has a calm, peaceful, and tranquil space to enjoy as he spends time outside in his backyard watching his grandchildren play and spending quality time with his wife and 4 children. This area will allow Rick to be outside during the day instead of staying in the house, and will provide him with the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and beauty of the day.
