Welcome to our website! The Children's Peace Choir of Boston, Massachusetts is a group of children from diverse religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds that came together to record a song to raise  money for children in war-torn countries.  The choir was brought together by Matthew Cole, a 13-year-old boy who lives in Newton, MA. This year he becomes a Bar Mitzvah and as part of this process he participates in Tikkun Olam, or repairing the world, often through community service.  As Matthew writes, "I am a 7th grader at Brown Middle School in Newton, MA. I am a Jewish boy who attends Temple Beth Zion in Brookline, MA and I am currently working on my Bar Mitzvah project. As a Bar Mitzvah, one act we are required to participate in is giving back to our community and society. I love to sing and care deeply about the world around me and the fragility of peace in our society. I have therefore decided to form a "Children's Peace Choir" that will involve kids of different faiths coming together to sing in harmony. We have made a video and audio recording of the song and are selling the MP3 online to raise money for children in war-ravaged communities around the world."
