Peace For My Big Bro!
Donation protected
This is the hardest thing that I have ever had to write but my brother is dying. My dad passed when I was 3 from the same disease. He was only 46 years old, the same age I am now. My brother is 54 now and he was my hero and idol growing up since I didn't have a dad to learn from. Cem is a gentle giant. He is 6' 8" - 260 lbs and used to be a stud basketball player. He is now 200lbs and struggling to walk to the bathroom. I never thought the day would come that I would have to take care of him full time, and help him eat and walk from the bed to the bathroom and back again. They both were diagnosed with congestive heart faiulure which has no cure other than a heart transplant. Unfortunately, Cem has diabetes and bipolar disorder which makes him uneligable to get a new heart. All we can do now is keep him comfotable and try to help him live the remainder of his last year in peace. He struggles with all these diseases and disorders but doen't complain. I couldn't imagine being diagnosed with that news and just wanting to give to others and not think about myself. That is why I am asking for help here. Cem has $11 to his name and we are doing all we can to keep him happy and peaceful as long as we can, and give him whatever he wants and/or needs. The bad thing is he wants a ton of things and me and my family can't do everything for him as badly as we want to. I am not asking you to give a lot but anything you can do whatever you can to help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to pay all his bills, medical expenses (b/c some are not covered) and keep him happy at the same time by buying him all the different specialty foods he is craving, and stocking his fish tank (which is the love of his life). Again, I am not asking for much but whatever you can give would be greatly appreciated. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with my brother and our family...and please share this with your social media circle so I can continue to give my brother a peaceful and comfortable ending to his life.
