With the family’s permission, we wanted to share an update on Chris and the Sims family.

Thursday morning, Chris went to the hospital where he was diagnosed with septic shock/internal bleeding. Doctors recommended that he be care flighted to MD Anderson, where he received treatment to stabilize the infection and bleed. During that time, he underwent several tests and scans that unfortunately revealed additional tumors.

After many conversations with doctors and the medical team, the decision was made that the best place for Chris right now is at home, under hospice care, surrounded by the people he loves and as comfortable as possible.

During this time, our hope is that Chris can focus on resting and spending meaningful time with his family, knowing that Reagan and Steele will be taken care of. We are setting up a GoFundMe to help cover expenses and pay off any debt for Chris and Reagan, so he can have peace of mind about his family and their futures.
