Hi everyone,
My name is Huseyin. I am a UK resident based in London.
I was born and raised in the city of Adiyaman, in southeastern Turkey.
I am fundraising for the families of my brothers and cousins who were affected by the earthquakes which stroke South Eastern Turkey on the 6th of February 2023 with a magnitude of 7.8 and 7.5 which killed more than 44459 people so far.
There are thousands still in the need of tents and other essential needs such as sanitary items, winter clothes and heaters.
I lost 95 family members of my great-family who used to live in Adiyaman so far.
Many others are still being treated in the hospitals in the region.
I aim to cooperate with my brothers in Turkey who have been helping hundreds of people by organising food and other urgent items during the first days of the disaster.
There are 10 families with a total number of 48 members in need of urgent help including vulnerable kids and the elderly.
The list is as follows:
1. Z.A-H.A: Parents with 2 kids at 7 and 9 years old. Living in a tent in Adiyaman. They need a cabin house worth £3000.00 approx.
2. B.A-A.A: Parents with 4 kids at 12,9,6 and 4 years old. Living in a relative's house in the city of Osmaniye. The father needs to relocate to the city of Ankara due to his medical condition of 'atherosclerosis'.
3. I.A-S.A +60 years old couple, living in a tent in the city of Adiyaman. They need a cabin house worth £3000.00 approx.
4. P.A-H.A: Parents with 3 children at 12,9 and 4 years old. The 12 and 9-year-olds are medically diabetic and on medication.
5. Z.O: Single mother of an 8-year-old and living in a tent with her parents aged +60 and 3 adult siblings in Adiyaman.
6. M.N-M.M Parents living with 5 children at the ages 14(siblings), 11,10 and 5 living in Bilecik/Sanliurfa with relatives.
7. H.C-A.C parents with 3 children aged 12,10,6
8. A.A-H.A parents living with 1 child aged 21 in a tent in the city of Adiyaman. The father is under treatment of Multiple sclerosis and needs special care.
The number of families is likely to increase.
We aim to support them with food, clothing, transportation of their goods(where possible) and rental payments for 9 months.
The support will include:
- Supporting the 6 families with the transportation of the remaining household on a one-off basis (the average pricing within Adiyaman is £532.00 per family). Total of £4788.00 for 9 families.
- Supporting the rental payments. We plan to support each family with an average of £200.00 per month. This may differ depending on the city and location.
- Supporting the families with goods and other needs. Each family needs a support of £150.00(this will differ depending on the numbers and ages of the members.
Due to the financial crisis, rental payments are rising enormously.
The relocated families have to pay the deposits, second-hand households and 3-4 month rental payments in advance.
Please note that all of the mentioned families are my close relatives.
They have all the necessary paperwork from the government resources to verify their status of being affected by the earthquake.

- Full names and addresses of the families to receive funds can be provided upon request, in line with the privacy guidelines.
