PDX gas mask fund

Over the past few nights, the whole country has watched as militarized police forces have aggressively used several forms of crowd dispersal tactics on non-violent protestors, including using tear gas at unprecedented levels. Police have been aiming at people’s heads and faces when they discharge these weapons at unarmed people. On the streets on Portland, OR we’ve seen similar. On Friday, May 29th, the PPB announced that there would be a curfew starting that night at 8 pm, going into effect a few hours from the announcement. The PPB decided to tear gas, grenade, and shoot ‘non-lethal’ rounds into the crowd of non-violent protestors ahead of curfew anyway.
