We urgently need a home, and so, we turn to you. Although we have managed to rent a premises for the time being, we have no security for the future.

We at Mary Help of Christians, a not-for-profit organisation, are committed to the preservation of our Faith, heritage, and our traditional values, which promote the Family, and uphold it as the foundation and building block of society. As the Family flourishes, so too does the society of which it is a part, and thus we at Mary Help of Christians Chapel see as crucial to our mission to promote, enable, and encourage a Faith-and-Family-Centred lifestyle. This is accomplished by means of weekly religious instructions and Sunday School type classes for families, the youth, and parishioners both in the greater Melbourne area, and through our extended missionary activities in Brisbane, Sydney, Wangaratta, and Adelaide. We support the community locally, as well, through weekly, and even daily, public religious worship conducted in the premises we are currently renting, which also afterwards becomes an opportunity for the different members and families of the congregation to socialise with and support one another.

To better accomplish our mission, however, we need your help to purchase a church premises, for we depend totally on donation for everything that we do.

The first reason this is necessary is to provide a more convenient location for our congregation. Our current premises, the only thing that was available for us to obtain initially, are located at a great distance to members of the congregation, who must travel between thirty minutes and even several hours to attend, a sacrifice the majority make every Sunday.

Not only are we hoping to acquire a church premises in a location more convenient to the Faithful in the greater Melbourne area, but also we hope to find a location closer to the Melbourne Airport, so that we might better service our communities in other parts of Australia, such as those in Sydney, Adelaide, and Brisbane. Our present location renders doing so very difficult due to the distance, travel time, and expenses involved.

The second reason we seek to purchase a church premises is to better accommodate the needs of the congregation. Our current location, although we have done our best to make it well-decorated, is very small. A larger premises would encourage growth, and thus enable us to better provide for the needs of the local community. As our current premises were designed and built many years ago, as well, the restroom facilities onsite are limited, and could well-use some additional modern improvements and expansion.

Thirdly, we seek to purchase a church premises to enable us to provide more benefits to the local community. Our current location is without any social hall or other facilities to teach Sunday School classes or to provide other religious instruction. Consequently, socialising is limited to standing outside the front doors; it is impacted by any inclement weather, and is rendered almost impossible in the winter months. Not having any suitable location onsite as well, Sunday School and other Religious Instruction classes must resort to remote learning over the internet, which detracts from families' being able to interact with others who share their own Faith and values.

We hope you are able to support us and help us to purchase a suitable premises that would meet all those challenges we presently have and thus serve our community and our Australian apostolate better.
