This is my cousin Jeanne-Marie. In reality, she is my older sister and has been for every meaningful moment of my life. In late June, Jeanne was diagnosed with advanced Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, that has metastasized. Carrying the name of so many beloved families; Pitre, Masters, and Forella, we have all been blessed with the impact Jeanne has on those around her. My sister is a constant reminder of what it means to truly be good-natured, never failing to be selfless, genuine, and kindhearted in everything she does. She is an endless source of light, bringing joy and support to anyone around her. Jeanne tragically loss both of her parents at a young age, facing a childhood I could never imagine. She overcame every obstacle in her path and did so while dedicating her life to helping others with the biggest and brightest smile (especially the homeless). Next Steps for Jeanne:
As of now Jeanne is unaware what treatment will look like until she can have further screening and tests to understand her situation, but she was told she will be receiving aggressive chemotherapy, port surgery and possibly radiation.
In the coming weeks, Jeanne has an array of expensive medical bills that come with battling cancer. These proceeds will provide so much assistance to Jeanne going towards medical costs such as; chemotherapy, immunotherapy, prescriptions, various tests and screening, costs of living, and many other needs that will most certainly arise throughout her course of treatment.
