Dear family and friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you our beloved mother has gained her wings. She was our warrior, fighting bravely until the very end.

This news has been devastating for all of us. We want to ensure that our father has the support he needs to navigate this incredibly difficult time. Our goal is to provide financial assistance for her funeral services. We also want to give our dad the chance to take the time he needs to grieve.

We are reaching out to you for support at this time. We wanted to share what our mother’s journey has been prior to where we are now. In 2005-2006 our mom became ill at work, we were informed she had been transported to the ER unconscious. That year we learned her right lung had collapsed, doctors were unsure of why and what had happened. Due to limited health insurance she was unable to seek medical care and follow up. Thankfully she was able to continue with one lung. Around 2010-2012 she was finally able to obtain health coverage. She began seeking healthcare and had many tests completed. In 2014-2015 she was diagnosed with Pleuroparenchymal Fibrosis. She began treatment and eventually used oxygen 24/7. We were informed she would need a lung transplant potentially double lung transplant due to the fibrosis moving to her one lung. She was on treatment from 2015-2021, with constant doctors visits, testing, bronchoscopies and hospital visits at times with stays up to a week. At the end of the 2021 her medical team decided to place her on the transplant list. At this point she was on high oxygen and was having continuous hospital stays. In March 2022, they found a set of lungs for her and she had a double lung transplant. Her recovery was not the usual and lasted about a month and a half asleep. This caused her body muscles to go numb so she had to take physical therapy and learn how to eat, talk, walk and just move in general. She was discharged home 3 months later. She did very well for her first 2 years post-transplant. At the beginning of this year 2024 her health started declining. At the end of July 2024 she became very ill and we were told she would not make it through the weekend. God’s will was to keep her here with us for another month, she was sent home and had been home enjoying her family. This past Monday 9/2 she became ill again. She did well and was stable up until last night when things shifted. This morning 9/5 we were informed she only has hours. They had gave us about 2 hours, thankfully she is still here and fighting. We are reaching out for help to cover the upcoming expenses that will come when she passes. We understand these are difficult times but a simple share goes a long way and is very much appreciated. Our mom has always had faith, so prayers are also appreciated at this time.

Esta noticia ha sido devastadora para todos nosotros. Queremos asegurarnos de que nuestro padre tenga el apoyo que necesita para navegar este momento increíblemente difícil. Nuestro objetivo es brindar asistencia financiera para sus servicios funerarios cuando se llegue su hora. También queremos darle a nuestro papá la oportunidad de tomarse el tiempo que necesita para llorar y estar con nuestra madre durante sus últimos días.
