I am James Sistare, 66 years old, retired from the USAF, and an employee of the USPS. My family and I live in a 75-year-old house in Spartanburg, SC. We love our home, but it needs urgent repairs that we cannot afford.

The floor joists need replacing or reinforcing and improved support. The picture is of the worst room, where our children sleep, but there are at least three additional problem spots. It has gotten far worse recently. We were quoted $25k 5 years ago. It has gotten much worse since then and certainly much more expensive. In today's economy, we have no savings. Insurance will not cover it. I am worried for my family's safety. I never thought I would ever have to ask for help this way. Please help us. Bless you.
