Terry's Eagle Scout Project

My name is Terry, I am a 14 year old Life Scout and am trying to raise money for my Eagle Scout Project. I have been active in scouting since 2010 when I joined Cub Scouts as a Webelos.
My Project is to install a Flag Pole and Bicycle rack, Benefitting the Dr. Eugene Clark Library
The Dr. Eugene Clark Library was built in 1899 and is the oldest continuously operating public library in the State of Texas. The Library recently celebrated it’s grand re-opening after the completion of extensive renovations. The previous flag pole was removed around 2001 when renovations began. When renovations were completed, the flag pole was not replaced. This left the Library without a place to hang the US and Texas flags.
A bicycle rack will allow Lockhart residents of all ages a secure place to park their bikes while visiting the Library. This will be most beneficial during the summer time when the Library hosts its free summer reading club for children of all ages.
I selected the Dr. Eugene Clark Library as the beneficiary for my Eagle Scout Project because I myself have benefitted from the summer reading club since I was 4 years old.
