Crystal's Road to Recovery

Crystal Morrison is a wonderful, single mother to 3 amazing children, ages 17 and 12; yes, the youngest are twins! On March 15, 2023, Crystal suffered from a massive stroke. She was rushed to the hospital where she underwent several life-saving surgeries. This catastrophic medical event has left Crystal with significant damage to the right side of her brain. At this time, she has been in the ICU for a month awaiting placement in a Rehabilitation Center. Crystal is unable to talk or ambulate on her own. She will need intensive therapy and around-the-clock care to regain some of her skills. The long-term goal is for Crystal to recover to her fullest potential while in rehab with the end goal of her coming home to her children. It is unknown at this time how long recovery will take.

Crystal’s mother, Kathy is currently caring for the children and the family could use all the support they can get. Crystal was the primary monetary supporter of the family. With her in the hospital for an unknown length of time, the family needs some support. At this time, the family has no source of transportation. The youngest twin has Cerebral Palsy and has frequent appointments with specialists. The family would also like to be able to spend time with Crystal while she recovers. There are no public transportation services in the area they live and using Uber frequently is an expense they cannot afford.

Crystal has been an exceptional mother, daughter and friend to all who have been blessed to know her. This amazing family has always been kind to others and has always extended a hand to those less fortunate. Right now, they need us to extend what we can to them. All donations will be used for transportation costs, medical and nursing costs, legal fees, as well as for the daily needs of the children.
