Help Parker stay at Mayo
Donation protected
This is a plea to help my buddy, Parker Morris, get to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
Parker is a small, sweet 7 year old boy from Savannah, Georgia. He is in the 2nd grade at the Tybee Island Maritime Academy. Parker is well loved by his classmates and very smart. His daddy, Justin, is a Purple Heart Veteran in the Army and his mom, Angela, is a stay-at-home mom. Parker and his younger brother, Tripp’s, medical issues limit her ability to work. Parker has 3 siblings: Mia and Tripp, 6 year old twins and a younger sister, Maggie, who is 5.
Parker has been struggling since infancy with a multitude of medical issues. At 5 months old he spent a month in the hospital, leading to surgery for a Nissen Fundoplication and a feeding tube.
As a 2 year old, Parker required surgery to remove his tonsils and adenoids as he was suffering from severe sleep apnea. At the age of 4, he was diagnosed with Autism at which point Parker began experiencing new symptoms. These new symptoms resulted in surgery at Vanderbilt to relieve a problem with his parotid gland. The doctors began to suspect that Parker's problems may be auto-immune related.
In the past month, Parker has been hospitalized twice. His first stay lasted 6 days, his second stay for 8 days. Parker sees 6 doctors on a regular basis: GI, Endocrinology, ENT, Urology, Rheumatology, and Ophthalmology. The best doctors in Savannah are no longer enough. They have concluded that "Parker's failure to thrive is a chronic continuous, and severe condition that is clinically worsening and involves gastrointestinal, adipose, musculoskeletal, and possibly endocrine systems” at which point Parker was referred to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
In light of all of this, Parker continues to have a smile on his face and asks every day to return to school to be with his friends and peers. After two recent stays in the hospital for Parker and an additional hospital stay for his brother, Tripp, who also suffers from a seizure condition, the Morris family is now reaching out for financial help. Please consider donating to this wonderful family. Even the smallest contribution at this time, would make a world of difference to this kind and deserving family.
Thank you!!
