My sweet cat Frosty has been through so much these past few days, and we are asking for help as we face unexpected veterinary expenses.

On Friday night, I rushed Frosty to Oklahoma City after finding him collapsed on his side, crying in pain, with vomit next to him. He had been straining to use the bathroom but couldn’t go, and the OSU vet hospital had already closed for the night. At City Paws in Oklahoma City, they were able to unblock him, but after surgery, Frosty pulled out his catheter and immediately became blocked again.

At first, they suspected a blood clot, but once I transferred him to the OSU veterinary hospital, further scans showed what they believed was a stone in his bladder. Today at 1:00, Frosty went into surgery, and they did in fact find multiple stones. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and the stones were removed. He is now resting and healing from the procedure, and we are hopeful he will get to come home tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the costs of his emergency hospitalization, multiple procedures, and now surgery have quickly added up. As a single mom of three kids, these bills are overwhelming, but Frosty is such an important part of our family. He is the kids’ favorite cat, and we rescued him from Tiny Paws in 2021. He’s the gentlest, sweetest cat you will ever meet—he loves chin rubs, cuddling with Isa, and curling up for naps in dollhouses or any box he can find.
