Hi, my name is Brooke. I’m 35 and this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

October is breast cancer awareness month and it seems appropriate to be sharing my journey to help raise awareness that this disease doesn’t discriminate.

I’m a mother a three beautiful young girls aged six, four and two. I’m fit, healthy and active but it still happened to me.

Check your breasts! Know your body and advocate for yourself when you know something isn’t right.

This year has taken so much away from me but I’m determined to make it out the other side better then ever!

I’ve found the thought of losing my hair extremely difficult but unfortunately it will be come a reality. I will be shaving my head next Friday the 24th of Oct and hoping to raise funds to help other young woman navigate hair loss during cancer treatment.
