Lauren's Fight

Dear Family and Friends, 

 We’re reaching out to let you all know we’ve started a Go Fund Me page for Lauren Maynor and our family could really use your support! 

 Please note, this is the only Go Fund Me page for Lauren.  If you are unsure as to whether or not you have the correct page, please feel free to contact any of us listed in the below signature line for a direct link. 

 As some of you may know, Lauren was recently rushed to the emergency room with what she thought to be a severe sinus infection.  Unfortunately, that was just a symptom of a more serious issue and her condition quickly deteriorated.  She ended up being placed on life support for several days, which was one of the most terrifying events for our family.  She has had round the clock care from a wonderful team of doctors and nurses at both Sentara Northern VA Medical Center and INOVA Fairfax Hospital, where she was transferred for more specialized care. 

 At this time, her doctors “believe” she has a condition called Nuerosarcadosis and are still working to confirm the diagnosis.  The effects of this condition are severe, and in her case have been life threating.  We are hopeful that she will be restored to her former self, although there is no known cure and she will require treatment for the rest of her life.

 For those of you that know Lauren personally, you would agree that she is a very strong, independent, loving and caring soul.  And you also know she is one determined young woman.  Through her drive and lots of prayer, Lauren is now able to breathe independently and perform small task that are monumental to her recovery. 

 She has a long and challenging road ahead, as she will require long term medical care to restore her back to the vibrant young woman who always manages to touch the hearts of everyone she meets.

 If you would like to assist with the major financial burden this is placing on our family, we humbly ask that you make a donation of any amount you can, (big or small) to Lauren’s Go Fund Me page.  Please know that all funds raised will go directly to Lauren’s medical cost and related expenses to include travel cost for our parents Cecil Maynor, Sr. and Monica Maynor Cox.

 On behalf of our family, we truly appreciate the love, prayers and support all of you have shown us.  It has been our light on this otherwise dark path.  May God continue to bless each and every one of you and your families.
