Imagine being just 5 years old and facing a battle that most adults would struggle to endure. This is the reality for Zimal, a bright and courageous little girl living in Pakistan who is fighting a severe form of Thalassaemia. Thalassaemia is a life-threatening blood disorder that requires constant medical treatment and, in Zimal’s case, a crucial bone marrow transplant.
A Family’s Unimaginable Struggle
Zimal’s family, despite their love and unwavering support, is struggling to keep up with the staggering costs of her treatment. Her mother is a full-time housewife, dedicating every moment to caring for Zimal, while her father works tirelessly at two jobs just to make ends meet. They are a middle-class family, and the financial burden of ongoing medical expenses is overwhelming.
Every month, Zimal undergoes painful blood transfusions and medical tests. The next critical step in her journey is a bone marrow test, followed by a potentially life-saving bone marrow transplant. We have already managed to raise some funds for the initial tests, but the cost of the transplant is far beyond what this family can afford on their own.
Why Your Help Matters
Zimal’s condition is deteriorating, and without the transplant, her prognosis is dire. This transplant represents not just a chance at life but a chance at a future filled with hope and joy. But we cannot do this alone—Zimal needs your help.
Your donation will directly contribute to covering the costs of the bone marrow transplant, medications, and aftercare. Every dollar you give will help provide Zimal with the treatment she urgently needs and offer her family a glimmer of hope in this challenging time.
