My name is Tiea, and I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for support for my daughter and my precious granddaughter, Akira. Not long after she was born, we learned that Akira has a serious heart condition—a leaky valve that has required constant monitoring and urgent medical care. It’s been overwhelming and frightening in ways that are hard to fully put into words.

For over a month now, Akira has been in the hospital, surrounded by machines, doctors, and uncertainty. My daughter hasn’t left her side for a moment—she’s been there every single day and night, pouring all her strength into being there for her baby. Recently, Akira went through an intense 8-hour surgery to repair her valve. We are so grateful to say it was successful, but the journey is far from over. She still faces at least another month of recovery, and we are taking things one day at a time.

As you can imagine, this has taken an emotional and financial toll on our family. With my daughter unable to work and focusing entirely on Akira’s care, bills and everyday expenses have quickly piled up. It’s incredibly difficult to ask for help, but right now, we truly need it.
