Hi! We are Aquino and Sadie! Aquino is a trained service dog for our dad, and I am the little sister that brings the spunk! In 2017, we moved from Florida to Coatsville, PA so dad could enter an inpatient PTSD program! After completing the program, we traveled the country to find where we belonged. In 2018, we landed in Huron, OH (Brrrrr) and were lucky enough to find a cozy little home to rent on our very limited income and felt safe and content. Unfortunately, new owners recently bought our house, promised we could stay, and then changed their minds and want us out by April 1st so they can sell. Our dad, Sonny, is a disabled Veteran who served our country in the U.S. Army with deployment to Iraq ('11-'12), and it is important to us that we find him a stable home, safe transportation, and peace of mind. He has done without for many months so that we could be taken care of. We just want him around people that love and care about him the way he does for us, and we know he will have that back in Florida. His support system is already underway, and he is in contact with an old friend, Brian Scott- Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who is setting him up with VA resources and community partners to help us once we are there! This is why we are asking for help! Our dad has been trying his best to gather the funds we need to start this new journey. He sold off everything he owns and scrapped our unreliable car, but our funds are still coming up short! If you could find it in your heart to help us, with whatever you are able, we would be so DOGGONE thankful!

Your generosity will be put towards temporary lodging, food, transportation, doggie needs, and basic necessities until the proper services can be rendered. We MUST be in Florida before this assistance will recognize our needs and get us in their system, which can take a month or more.
