Help Us Give Them a Life Worth Fighting For

I moved to Mexico about 12 years ago. At first I lived in the city of Puebla but a few years ago I relocated to to country, outside of the city. Since then I realized the epidemic of abandoned, sick, abused and lost street dogs. Many are pregnant or nursing. The cycle of suffering and starvation continues to get worse. People here are very poor. With little food to feed their families, their dogs are terribly neglected and cast out. My wife and I want to do more than put a bandaid on this wound…we want to REALLY make a difference. We want to build and operate “The city of Refuge”. A place these dogs that have nowhere to go, can be safe, fed, protected and loved. In addition to caring for these needs we plan on organizing sterilization campaigns, free of charge, so even the poorest dog owners can get it done. We currently have nearly 20 dogs on our own property, nearly all recused from the street. But expansion is needed to care for them properly. And so many more need our help.
