Please help our PCSSI chapter of Model United Nations attend NAIMUN, the Western Hemisphere’s preeminent high school Model UN conference held in Washington, D.C. PCSSI is a public charter school in Everett, MA. Our club was founded just three years ago, and we have worked incredibly hard to build it into something we’re proud of. As a newer MUN chapter, we’ve already attended conferences in Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and more. We’ve even organized our own one-day conference two years in a row. As a school and club, our resources are extremely limited, so we are not able to continue growing our club and attending conferences without significant financial aid and the generosity of members of our community.

This year, we hope to attend NAIMUN in February 2026. Unfortunately, we received minimal financial aid from the organizers this year due to a record number of applications. This trip will cost our club an estimated $14,000 between conference dues, travel expenses, and hotel accommodations for 20 students and 2 faculty advisors. As of now, we are over $10,000 short of our fundraising goal for this trip. We need your help to make this conference a reality!

Here is a short summary of the conference, as well as a link to learn more: At NAIMUN, 3,300+ participants convene in Washington, D.C. for four days, simulating their role as delegates to the United Nations from a particular nation and serving as representatives of that country's policies. Students at NAIMUN are pushed to heighten their understanding of the international system through an incredible 40+ mini-simulations organized and run by over 250 undergraduate students from Georgetown University, ranging from standard committees like the UN General Assembly and the Security Council to crisis simulations of various regional organizations, national cabinets, corporate boards, and political organizations.

Additionally, our MUN chapter has something special waiting for us at NAIMUN this year: our founding faculty advisor now works on Capitol Hill and has offered to give us an insider’s look at the halls of government and diplomacy.

Attending NAIMUN gives us the chance to meet students from across the world, help solve complex global issues, explore our nation’s capital with the guidance of a current staffer, and develop our critical thinking and diplomacy skills. If you are able, we hope you can help us get there! Thank You!
