PCR Test Kit Fundraising for Sunsari

We are fundraising for PCR test kits, as well as relief funds for people in the Sunsari District.


The Sunsari district is located in the south-east of Nepal, home to 753,328 people, who have been greatly affected by COVID-19 this year. Over 35,000 confirmed cases and 557 deaths were reported within the last few weeks in province no.1, which is where Sunsari district is located. This fundraising project aims to purchase and send PCR tests to the people of Sunsari district to support the people as much as possible. 


Despite having symptoms, the people cannot afford the test because it is too expensive. This causes cases to increase throughout the city and missed early stage treatments. We are assuming the numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases to be much higher than addressed by the government due to limited amounts of tests available and the Nepal health authorities' use of incorrect testing kits. The need for accurate and large numbers of PCR tests are urgently needed for the people to be able to seek and receive the help they need.
