Help AB and His Family

My name is Abram Conley. I am a hard-working man for my family. I work in shipyards around the country as a government contractor. I am married with six children; three adults and 3 schools-aged children. While out of town for work, I had a sharp pain going down my right leg. An MRI showed that I had a herniated disc at L5-S1. I flew home in May to schedule an appointment with my PCM to get referred to a neurosurgeon. My first surgery was on June 2, 2023; L5 Laminectomy and L5-S1 Discectomy; Bilateral. I was scheduled to be back to work after Labor Day. I was on the hard road of recovery and I was determined to meet that Labor Day deadline. I have had various ER visits with uncontrollable pain. The pain became so unbearable while my wife was out of town taking our son to the US Naval Academy for school. I called the ambulance. I found out that I had a staph infection and needed surgery. I had my second surgery July 1 and was in the hospital for a week dealing with pain and massive back spasms. I felt like this was a setback but was reassured by the surgeon that the end goal of Labor Day was still the target. I went home with a PICC Line in my arm where my wife had to inject me with intravenous antibiotics three times a day.I had the support of my wife and kids while recovering from the second surgery. The pain increased and progress seemed stagnant. I have been unable to lay in the bed since the second surgery. I have not been able to walk and my power started to dwindle. I finally started physical therapy September 14. The next day I was in so much pain and collapsed to the floor. My sister took me to the ER where I was told I was dehydrated and was given more medication. My wife took me to the ER on Sunday September 17 where no bloodwork was taken and was basically told not to come back up there unless certain criteria took place. I felt hopeless and a burden on my family. After numerous correspondences with the office, I had an appointment with the neurosurgeon on Thursday September 21. Against the advice of my physician, I had my wife take me back to the ER (with loss of mobility in my legs) where bloodwork and an MRI was ordered. It appeared that I had a staph infection for a second time and the mass protruding under my incision site was not muscles bunched up as the physician indicated but rather a mass of fluid built up putting pressure on the surrounding nerves. I had my third surgery on Friday September 22 and I am currently in the hospital trying to recover. I am asking my friends and family to help in anyway possible so that I am able to pay for these medical bills and continued care. I was admitted to the hospital again September 29 for more fluid on my spine at the inversion site. I will be transferring from the hospital to an in-patient treatment facility for post-op Ortho care for 8 weeks.
