Help My Fellow Scientists in Ukarine

My name is Sergii Bezuglyi, I am a faculty member at the University of Iowa Mathematics Department. I moved to Iowa in 2016 from Kharkiv, Ukraine, where I worked at the Institute for Low-Temperature Physics and Engineering for 40 years. I am raising money for my unfortunate friends and colleagues who are suffering from the Russian invasion.

Many of my fellow scientists from Kharkiv,  are college professors, world-renowned mathematicians, physicists, and engineers who have dedicated all their lives to science and technology.  Their work has greatly advanced our knowledge in this field.

People in Ukraine are terrified by the aggression of Russia. Kharkiv is now in the front battle line and suffered from daily bombing and shelling. Since the war started, their lives have been turned upside down. Many of my colleagues lost their homes, their work, and some even lost their family members. Just overnight, they have become refugees. They live in temporary housing or bomb shelters, with minimal food and heating. 

I want to raise money for them, so they and their families can have enough food and shelter. I pray for them every day to get back to their lives soon. The list of people we are helping can be found here:
