Ii live in kirkwall, Orkney. I have just been released from hospital, after nearly dying from sepsis. I have multiple open wounds, and I need my house deep cleaned and the garden sorted out, as I can't.

I was already very ill with multiple auto immune conditions, when a chest infection turned into sepsis and nearly killed me, the sepsis eneded up infecting my right bum cheek, they removed my lower back passage, some bowel and inner thigh.

they removed my whole right butt cheek. They had to remove so much, that I now have a storma, and will need multiple operations over many years, which means I must live with a large area of open wounds

I will tell my story, So here goes!

9wks ago I had a cold, after a week this turned into a chest infection. We called the doctor as I was very sleepy and struggled to wake up. (This is common during a FND attack, so at first my carer wasn't to worried) Unknown to him, the infection went to my bottom.

The doctor came out and gave me antibiotics, but my carer found it hard to wake me and get me to take the tablets, so he called the doctor back again after a couple of days, She gave it to me in a injection instead, while she was there, I needed the loo, so my carer got me to my chair, when he pulled down my pants he noticed a tennis sized red hot area, he asked the doctor to take a look.

The doctor marked the area and told Alwyn to keep an eye on it, as it worried her. She took bloods and said she would cone back later that day. An hour later she rang and told Alwyn that my marker for infection was 198, when it shouldn't go over 20!, she came back and amended the amount of antibiotic. She took some more bloods and left. She wanted me to go to hospital but i said no. She rang half an hour later, telling Alwyn to call a ambulance my markers were off the scale it was well over 400! So I was rushed to hospital, and they tried to use 5 antibiotics to kill the infection (apparently sepsis show on the skin but mine went deep into the muscles so it just looked very red, they woundered if it was a cysts or similar) nothing worked and I was even more delirious then before!

They dedicated to go in to see what was going on and to drain any cysts they found (i had them before) they told my carer to pop to mine and get my stuff, as it might be awhile. The doctor started to remove the infected area, he decided to give me a storma, and kept removing the infection. He rang my carer 2 hour in, after he fitted the bag, to tell him what he had done. He went back to removing the infection. but panicked as he had taken on more then he could handle.

After 3 hours my carer rang and was informed how bad it was, and I had been air lifted to Aberdeen.

When I arrived at Aberdeen I was rushed into surgery to try and mend the other doctors mess, he ruptured my bowel, and messed it up so bad my anus was removed, and I needed more area removed. I was moved to the HDU, and placed into a medical coma for 4 days.

Once they slowly reversed the sedition I couldn't remember anything, I didn't know who I was or anything, nothing but a couple of days before the event! I nearly died and was unable to say what went on. This week my carer told me most of what happened to me. It took 3wks to remember my name etc. I asked to see the area but wss tolld no as it was to extreme and too distressing even the doctors and nurses struggled, it was 3wks after the last operation i was allowed to see a photo.

They did 3, 4 hour operations to clean it out and a 6 hour operation to try and join the edges together. Unfortunately it didn't work. I'm living with 5 open wounds, a permanent storma and catheter. them to listen to him. But this doctor took no notice, and butchered me, I am so much worse, my health is greatly reduced, so is my mobility, my body is struggling to heal, my body has no energy, and it is pushed beyond it's limits

This is why I really need to deep clean and decorate the house and have garden sorted out.
