Hi friends and family,

Recently, a very close friend and her family have gone through an unforeseen scary accident. Dylan Dewitt works for the Shipyard and unfortunately had an allergic reaction to products they use causing chemical burns on his face. Even with all the protective equipment the products burnt his skin, starting off just a rash and turning into a severe allergic reaction. He has been out of work since June 9th and spent the 12th to the 16th in the hospital trying to figure out what medication would help and of course ended up having an adverse reaction from the medication, putting him back in the hospital... He was covered under workers comp for 45 days, then was required to borrow against his vacation time, which has now ran out, to then have department of labor deny the case and the shipyard no longer responsible to pay him. With recent tests it has affected his lungs and continues to keep him out of work. He has weekly doctor appointments and endless tests to be sure it hasn't affected other areas of his body. At this time they don't have an estimated time for him to return to work and are without any income.

With a family of 6, raising 4 amazing children, the Dewitt's are in need of a little extra help and I'm hoping we can give them just that ❤️ Dylan is the sole provider for the family and unable to apply for unemployment since the doctors won't release him to work. On top of being without an income they now need to save money for a lawyer to fight his case against department of labor. Dylan has a long road to recovery, still battling pain and swelling, and may even need surgery... Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers ❤️
