Hi, my name is India. I’m a registered veterinary nurse, currently working as a locum, and today I was involved in a very sad case. This gorgeous 4-year-old cat came in severely lame ln his right hind leg. X-rays revealed a broken femur.
Sadly, due to the cost of treatment, his owners made the decision to have him put to sleep. He is otherwise healthy and has the sweetest temperament. I couldn’t let this lovely boy be put to sleep today.
Thankfully, the owners agreed to sign him over to me, giving him a second chance — but that also means I’m now responsible for the cost of his treatment. The estimated cost is between £2,000 and £4,000, depending on whether he needs an amputation or referral for specialist orthopaedic surgery.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world and help give this boy the chance he deserves to live a happy, pain-free life.
Thank you for your support
