Hi, my name is Makenna. I am 17 years old and a high school student. For nearly two years, I worked to save enough money to purchase my first car by myself. At the beginning of my senior year, I reached that goal and was able to buy my first car on my own.

Unfortunately, on Thursday morning, December 11th, while driving to school I slid on ice and was involved in an accident that resulted in damage to my car after hitting a neighbor’s brick mailbox. Unfortunately, my car was damaged, and I currently don’t have the financial resources to repair it or replace it.

As a high school student athlete who also works a part-time job, and with college beginning in less than a year, I relied heavily on having car to get me to and from places.
