Global Sikhs - Support Flood Relief in Punjab
Donation protected
Punjab is struggling with its worst floods in nearly 4 decades, with all 23 districts declared flood-hit. Over 1,400 villages have been affected, and around 350,000 people are currently impacted. Sadly, at least 30 lives have been lost due to these sudden and catastrophic floods.
More than 300,000 acres of farmland have been submerged across the state, dealing a devastating blow to the agricultural communities that rely on paddy, livestock, and crops for their livelihoods.
Punjab’s government has mobilized NDRF, SDRF, Army, BSF, and deployed helicopters and boats for rescue operations, helping evacuate tens of thousands and providing medical aid with 818 medical teams on the ground.
Despite these efforts, many communities remain cut off, awaiting immediate relief. Families have lost homes, farms, and animals, and urgently need support for basic necessities and rehabilitation.
Every contribution counts:
₹500 can help a family access clean drinking water.
₹1,000 can provide a ration kit to feed a household for days.
₹2,500–₹5,000 can support livestock feed or emergency medical supplies.
Together, We Heal Punjab
The funds will be raised by the Manchester Punjabi Society, and then given to the Global Sikhs Organisation for distribution.
