A protective father. A beloved son. A supportive brother. A favorite uncle. A man who already paid his dues for his past, now incarcerated on false charges. A man who missed Thanksgiving, Christmas, his daughters' birthdays, serving time for things he did not do.
*An alleged "victim" who has repeatedly, on video, in recorded calls, in letters to the judge and DA stated the charges are false and she never claimed Johnny did anything he is charged with.
*An overly ambitious DDA trying to climb the career ladder, who misrepresented contents of a 911 call in court, while the "victim" stated loudly from the back of the courtroom that these were lies. .A DDA willing to go to trial without a victim to advance her career.
*A public defender, in over his head, who stated that the DA can say whatever she wants because of her immunity from being sued for prosecutorial misconduct.
*A police officer who admitted, in court, he left out potentially exonerating statements from the official police report.
*A judge letting all that go and siding with the prosecution.
*Family and friends who worked diligently and were able to raise only $7500 of the more than $30,000 needed for his defense.
Please help us get this innocent man the defense he needs, If we are blessed enough to exceed the needed funds and he is acquitted, we will donate the excess to criminal equal justice organizations such as the Innocence Project, unless we have to pay for an appeal after trial.
