Bertha Alicia Monteagudo Solis

Edit: Hi my name is Alexa Enriquez, it is with a heavy heart that I write that my mom passed on January 19th at 1am. My mom Bertha was only 47 years old and still had so much life to live. She was a very loving mother and the greatest grandma to my two baby boys. As the new year started, on January 3rd, she had a heart attack and didn’t have oxygen to her brain for 30-60 minutes, when they did a CT scan there was no activity in majority of her brain and brain damage is irreversible. She also had pnemonia, broken ribs from CPR, anemia, blood in her GI, and an infection in her body. She was on a ventilator but the brain damage is what they couldn’t fix, they stopped giving her treatment and took her off the ventilator and she fought for a week but unfortunately passed. She leaves behind 5 children myself included, as the oldest I have taken on the responsibility of the other 4, one in which is still a minor. This was very unexpected and we were not financially prepared to take on this responsibility. As the situation has unfolded we have come to a realization that costs will be more than expected.
