PBMS Extra Electives

Hello, I am Kimberly Meng, the Principal of Pacific Beach Middle School. PBMS is a public school that offers excellent programming, including International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, Mandarin Immersion, Music and Engineering. In addition, students do not have to pick just one program because we have offered 2 electives for the last 8 years. Participating students stay after school for an additional class at no charge to their families.

Due to the pandemic, PBMS has not generated the extra money needed to pay for this programming through traditional fundraising and renting out our theater. So for the 2022-2023 school year, our students will have limited options. This cut will impact 40% of our students excited to stay in middle school for an extra class every day!

The students, staff and families are asking for your help. We need $26,000 to fund the program. The money is used to pay teachers to work above and beyond their regular day. Please help so our students can explore their interests and strengthen their passions.
