Grace's Future Science Leaders trip

Grace has always been very interested in science - particularly space. Since she was very young, she has wanted to work for NASA and design robotics for the space station. Last summer, she and I were able to go to the NASA Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL and she was on cloud nine!
Grace has been on our school robotics team for the past two years. She is now too old, since we only have a middle school team, so she is going to serve as an assistant coach next year.
Grace has set her sights on attending the University of Alabama, Huntsville and is on target academically to receive a full scholarship. This university offers internships with NASA and Spacex.
Last month, Grace was identified by the College Board as a candidate for the Academy of Future Science and Technology Leaders. She was identified because of her high PSAT scores and her interest in a STEM career. We received a letter last month that she was accepted and she was invited to represent Greenwood Christian Academy and the state of Indiana at their annual Congress in Boston this June.
This is an amazing opportunity for Grace. At the conference, she will be assigned a mentor who is currently working in the sciences. This mentor will help to guide her through her choice to make science her livelihood. She will also get to hear from and meet Nobel Prize winners and people who are making amazing advancements in all fields of study.
Unfortunately, it will be a very pricey trip. The cost of the event is $985 and it will require travel to Boston and a three day stay. Since we are trying to keep up with tuition for Courtney as she enters her last year at Indiana Wesleyan University, cost is an issue for us.
We believe that God has given Grace a gift in her love for and success in science. We believe that God is going to do big things with her in the future! He has put this amazing opportunity in front of her and we believe that He will find a way for her to be there. If you can be a part of getting her there, we would certainly be incredibly humbled and grateful.
