Mission Trip to Zambia
Donation protected
Friends and Family,
This summer I have been given the opportunity to serve on a mission trip to Zambia, Africa. I will be working with a team of college students and young adults to minister in the rural villages in eastern Zambia, in a place called Chongwe.
Chongwe is home to many Chewa’s, a group of Bantu ethnic group native to Zambia and neighboring countries. The Chewa tribe is one of Zambia’s largest indigenous groups, their tribal language is also called CiNyanja (Bantu).
Many of the villagers in Chongwe survive through subsistence farming. In these villages, there is little Christian influence and very few Christian believers. Over the past few years, Africa Freedom Mission has partnered with a local ministry (The Hope Center) in an attempt to build long-term relationships with some of the people in these villages. Through outreach using the Jesus Film, teaching, sharing their own stories of faith and praying over the sick, past teams have started to make headway for the gospel.
In May I will be joining Africa Freedom Mission to continue their work in Zambia as they seek to minister to these dear people. But to get there, I will need your help. AFM requires that each team member raise $5,300 to cover the cost of airfare, food, lodging and other expenses. I need a team of financial and prayer supporters to help make this trip a reality. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with me?
I'm so excited and anticipating all the things God is going to do during my time in Africa. The way that God is going to continue to speak and move.
Thank you for all the support and prayers, I can't wait to share all this journey with you!
