Ansley Shin's Medical Bills
Donation protected
It is with a saddened heart that we have lost a beautiful soul. Ansley was a true light in this world. Although her time in this world was brief, she has touched the hearts of all that knew and loved her.
She was a healthy 7 year old girl with common cold who suddenly developed seizures one night. She was admitted to CHOA right away. The doctors have tried series of anti-seizure medictions but it did not stop her seizures. Later we have come to find out that she had a very rare form of epilepsy called F.I.R.E.S. (febrile infection related epilepsy syndrome). It happens to 1 in a million children. After being in a coma for over 6 weeks and due to all of the heavy medication, her heart was weakening and could not withstand any more treatment. She has fought hard and long but in the end we had to say goodbye on March 17, 2015.
She was at CHOA PICU for over 6 weeks and that has incurred substantial medical cost. We ask for your donation to help with the medical cost so that the family can have some relief and be able to focus on healing in this diffcult time. We also ask for prayers for strength for her parents, brother and rest of her family.
