Hello my name is Angelica, I am a Family Nurse Practitioner for of 5 years. 

 A series of events in the last two weeks have lead to a very unexpected trip to Kenya. It’s a medical missions trip for In His Hands orphan ministry. This mission was fully staffed with people who have been planning the mission for almost a year. Just recently, Michelle, the director, found out that they cannot go on this mission without a Medical Doctor or Nurse Practitioner. 

A close friend of mine sent me the screen shot from FB stating how In His Hands was looking for a

medical professional to go to Kenya and lead the medical team that was missing an MD or NP/PA.

That’s when things started dropping in to place. To my amazement, my wonderful husband completely supported me making such a fast decision. That said, I need to raise the funds quickly. It’s June 18-27th.

Upon arrival in Nairobi on June 20th, our first stop is Kisii, where we’ll be staying. Along the way, we’ll grab lunch, stock up on essentials, and visit In His Hands in Wanjare, a crucial stop where we'll immerse ourselves in the local context and witness God's work in action. The following days are filled with purposeful activities, from conducting employee interviews and medical evaluations to organizing accommodations for orphans and holding medical clinics for the community.

In addition, our team will engage in enriching interactions with children at In His Hands and the deaf school, fostering connections that transcend borders and reflect God's boundless love for all his creation.

As we traverse through the week, we'll sow seeds of hope by visiting widows, supporting small businesses, and facilitating Vacation Bible School sessions for the community’s children.
