Our son tyler was diagnosed with leukaemia on the 24/10/2018 and our lives were forever changed. To see what you thought was your healthy 3 year old boy suddenly change overnight is quite overwhelming and extremely emotional. We spent the first couple of weeks in hospital with so many different people and nurses and doctors telling us what was happening to our little boy and the amount of information to take in is overwhelming. It’s such a destructive disease and it affects everyone around Tyler. For such a young boy he doesn’t really know what is going on and the stress of hospitals, doctors and nurses with the added stress of chemotherapy and other medication,  cables in his chest and a cable attached to his face going down his nose it’s a lot to go through and I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy.   He has lost his hair, he can’t be around his friends in case he catches an infection or other illness, so he spends most of his time at home and in hospital for even small things like a runny nose or temperature spike. This is now a 3 year journey till he is rid of this awful disease.  My wife Diana is now full time carer for him as he needs round the clock care. We are at the moment surviving on one wage which is hard and with we are going through he needs all the support he can get. We are raising money for his general health and care to make sure he has everything he needs and with the many trips to the hospital we are needing to maintain our car and Petrol costs, and anything else he needs.
