Let’s Rally Around Our Friend Juan

To all our friends, family, coworkers, and fellow believers—

We’re reaching out today for someone very dear to us. Juan has been more than just a great coworker—he’s been a joy to work with on every set, bringing not just his talent but his heart, his humor, and a contagious spirit that lifted everyone around him. If you've ever had the pleasure of sharing a production day with Juan, you know exactly what we mean.

But Juan’s impact goes far beyond the set.

If you’ve trained with him, spent time hanging out, or shared life in any way—through martial arts, through friendship, or just doing day-to-day life together—you know the kind of person he is. Loyal. Encouraging. Humble. Always quick with a smile and slow to complain.

Now, Juan is facing one of the hardest seasons of his life—and he needs our help.

Back in early May 2025, Juan began experiencing kidney pain. After going to the ER at Orlando Health on June 3rd, doctors discovered a mass in his right kidney. Follow-up scans revealed additional small nodules on his lungs. While in the hospital, Juan also began to lose sensation in his legs. Further imaging revealed another small nodule in his lower back—one that is pressing on his spine. As of now, Juan has no feeling from the waist down and is confined to a wheelchair.

He was discharged from the hospital on July 11th and is now navigating this incredibly difficult chapter without the ability to work or earn an income. He’s had to turn down several gigs, and while he’s working on getting medical financial assistance, the costs of physical therapy, nurse visits, and everyday living are overwhelming.

In Juan’s own powerful words:

“To my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus (Yehusha), I have no idea what the outcome of God’s purpose is in all this, but whatever happens may God Almighty get the honor, praise & glory. He can turn a really bad situation into a beautiful thing.”

Juan didn’t want to create this page—but he’s in desperate need. And we believe that when many hands come together, the burden gets lighter.
