Zac Johnson Funeral

Donation protected
Last night, my dad went to bed knowing he had four sons – then, in the early hours of this morning, December 30th 2021, he was woken up by the police knocking on his door. They were there to tell him the worst news any father could possibly hear - one son had been found in a park.
Zac Johnson, my little brother, took his life. Our world has been turned upside down – the pain of losing Zac is immense and the hole he leaves behind is enormous. Our hearts are broken.
Where do I even begin.
Zac was a son, a brother, a father, a nephew, a cousin and one of the most loyal friends you could find. He leaves behind his daughter Ella-May.
None of us knew the pain that was hiding behind his smile and laughter. None of us knew the dark thoughts going through his mind.
Suicide has a ripple effect, and right now our family is not just feeling the ripples but the tidal wave of emotion that we no longer have Zac in our world, only in our hearts.
If this story reaches just one person and helps to give them the confidence and reassurance that it’s OK to open up and talk, then it will bring some small measure of positivity to our family and friends in the darkest of times. Coming to terms with suicide for those left behind is hard. People believe that suicide ends the pain, but really it just passes it on.
Due to his death being so sudden, I’m raising money to help pay for a funeral for my brother. Unfortunately we can’t afford to take care of these expenses ourselves so anything you give would be greatly appreciated.
I would so appreciate if you could share this page with the hope that Zac’s story is met with compassion, understanding and abundant generosity. We would also like to draw light to the issue of suicide and hope that this page reaches someone who may be feeling like there is no hope and we would like to let you know that there is. Suicide is a permanent solution to an often temporary problem and your life has so much value and purpose so we encourage you to speak to someone who can help you navigate your journey. There is hope…. We promise
