Help Chuck fight cancer!
This is a fundraiser to help our kindhearted, inspiring, hard-working dear friend and colleague, Chuck Smith, pay for his cancer treatments and supplement his income while recovering from major surgery.
Chuck has been fighting the good fight against skin, prostate, and colon cancer for over a year. He has endured multiple surgeries and treatments. He has one more step to take on his journey to becoming cancer free, which is surgery to remove a portion of his intestine. He does have health insurance which helps tremendously; however, it still falls short in two ways. First, his medical expenses are all out of pocket until a $6,800 deductible has been met. Second, his colon cancer surgery is going to require him to be out of work for about two months while he recovers. Meanwhile, there are still bills to pay.
He is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who has worked hard his entire life to provide for and take care of others. He and his amazing wife, Roxie, are kind, compassionate, and generous people. They have raised children and grandchildren together. They are always quick to lend a hand and do anything they can to help others in need. They even enjoy adopting senior pets from animal shelters who might otherwise never have a home again.
Chuck is highly-valued employee at the business we own. He and Roxie have become like family to us. We know how diligently and tirelessly he works, yet he never complains about anything. He always has a positive attitude and a smile, loves to help our customers solve problems, and is a great mentor to other staff members. He has personally inspired us to approach each day with a smile and a positive thought.
Any amount helps. This is a chance to give a little something to that guy who has always paid it forward and taken care of other people.
We don’t want him to spend his recovery time worrying about how and when his bills might get paid. He deserves so much better than that. We want him to rest, recover, and beat cancer for good.
We would be so appreciative of any donation, positive thoughts, or prayers that you might be able to spare to help our friend.
Thank you sincerely,
Jason and Gail Kiplinger
