Hey everyone,

My brother Payton and I are raising funds to travel to Big Bear Lake, California (Snow Summit Resort) to race in the USA Cycling Gravity Mountain Bike National Championships later this month. This is a huge opportunity for both of us to compete at the national level, push ourselves, and learn from some of the fastest riders in the country. The best downhill mountain bike racers in the US will all converge at this race!

We’ve been working hard all year — training throughout the winter in the gym and on our bikes at home, and racing at a couple of early season National events during spring break and in the Lake Superior Gravity Series races over the past month and … we are constantly trying to improve. Racing at elevation outside the Midwest, on a real national-caliber downhill course, is something we’ve never done before. It’s a big challenge, but one we’re excited to take on together!

We’ve been doing everything we can to fund this trip ourselves — working multiple jobs and securing support for gear and apparel from some of the top brands in the cycling industry. But between travel costs, race entry fees, lodging, and bike maintenance, we still need a little extra help to get there.

This trip will help us:

    •    Race DH against the best riders in our categories

    •    Gain experience on high-elevation, technical terrain

    •    Represent Wisconsin, the Lake Superior/Midwest region and our local riding community on the national DH racing scene

    •    Grow and develop as athletes
