Payton's Heart Surgery Fund

My son's lifelong best friend and fellow cardiac kid, Payton, is currently going through a very difficult time heart-wise.
Originally born with HLHS, 14-yr-old Payton and parents travelled to Edmonton on June 4th for what was supposed to be a simple repair of her heart vessels via a cardiac catheterization procedure, scheduled for June 6th.
At her pre-op appointment the doctors found additional cardiac issues - Payton's tricuspid and aortic valves were not functioning properly. She was immediately admitted to the hospital to monitor her before the cath.
On June 6th doctors attempted to do the cath repair as planned. Unfortunately, Payton's heart was not strong enough to withstand with the procedure and so it was suddenly halted. Payton was given oxygen support (ventilator), transferred to the Intensive Care Unit and put on multiple heart meds to help her heart get stronger. Payton is stable but remains in the ICU.
This upcoming Tuesday, June 12th, doctors will once again attempt a heart cath to fix Payton's vessels.
Due to the 2 valves found to be failing, on Thursday, June 14th Payton is also scheduled to undergo open heart surgery to repair the tricuspid valve and fully replace the aortic valve.
Parents Stuart and Bonnie will be at Payton's side in Edmonton for the full duration of her hospital stay, which will now be much longer than the 5 days originally scheduled.
No child should ever have to endure such hardships with their health. Although we feel completely hopeless in not being able to help Payton directly, our family hopes to raise funds to help offset her and her parents' extended stay in Edmonton and the costs they will incur during this difficult time.
We thank everyone tremendously who is able to pitch in and support Aidan's best gal in the world, Payton, and her family.
