On June 26th 2018 a good friend of mine and mentor was diagnosed with nonehodgskins lymphoma which also happened to be his 39th birthday....

Two days prior a vehicle pulled out in front of him and a co-worker on hwy 222 which resulted in nerve damage and soft tissue damage in his driving foot.

These injuries have prevented him to work since.
With the loss work hours and insurance funds pending to this date(July 16th) Derek is having financial difficulties keeping up with the basic necessities. 

This is very troubling as chemo/treatment has yet to commence. With already being behind with funds he has to travel 3 hours round trip for one appointment. 

With the price of gas increasing its imparitive he has the financials to accommodate transportation, parking, and any other unseen expenses this rehabilitation may incur. 

Derek is a leader/mentor within mental health/addictions  community in Gimli and throughout Canada. 

He he has helped out soooooo many people and touched the lives of many. Now it’s our time to help him as he bravely tackles this form of blood Cancer!
