Payne Family Raw Sewage Flood Restoration
Donation protected
My daughter Genevieve Payne and son-in-law Mason Payne had their first home's basement completely destroyed in May of 2023. This happened due to cement pieces in the city's main sewer line in front of their home.
For almost a year, they have been fighting insurance companies and the City of North Ogden to receive financial restitution for the extreme damage. Unfortunately, no party will take responsibility. The mitigation (clean-up) of this event was $14,000 and to have a company complete the restoration would be an additional $41,000.
This is not something that they can afford, so instead they will be doing the work to fix their home themselves. Several community members have kindly offered to assist in some of this labor. At this time, they need financial help to be able to purchase the materials to make this possible.
A donation of any amount would mean so much to my daughter and her family. They hope to get their basement back so that her 1 and 4 year olds sons can have a bathroom and a space to play again. It would also mean that Cardston, her 4 year old, would have his bedroom back. Additionally, the basement is where Mason's office was, where we works as the breadwinner for their family primarily from home.
The sewage flood of their home has been devastating. Any amount would be so appreciated.
